1. My friend, please don’t mourn for me ... I’m still here, though you don’t see.
   I’m right by your side each night and day ... and within your heart I long to stay.
   My body is gone but I’m always near ... I’m everything you feel see or hear.
   My spirit is free, but I’ll never depart ... as long as you keep me alive in your heart.
   
   
2. Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there. I do not sleep.
   I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow.
   I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
   When you awaken in the morning’s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush
   of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
   Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die.
   
   
3. They say memories are golden - well maybe that is true.
   I never wanted memories, I only wanted you.
   In life I loved you dearly, In death I love you still.
   In my heart you hold a place no one could ever fill.
   If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane,
   I'd walk the path to heaven and bring you back again.
   
   
4. It takes us back to brighter years, to happier sunlit days
   and to precious moments that will be with us always.
   And these fond recollections are treasured in the heart
   to bring us always close to those from whom we had to part.
   There is a bridge of memories from earth to Heaven above...
   It keeps our dear ones near us ... It's the bridge that we call love.

   I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today,
